Childhood Immunization Schedule

The birth
BCG: only for children at high risk (residing in Guyana, or island of France history family, born or from parents from a country very affected by tuberculosis, living in a precarious habitat,…).
In children at risk, vaccination may be performed until the age of 15 years, with a test by prick prior to vaccination from the age of 3 months.
Hepatitis B: 1st dose of vaccine within 24 hours for children born to surrogate mother of the HBs Antigen, immunoglobulin-associated. (In this case, 2nd and 3rd dose 1 and 6 months, then serological control between 7 and 12 months).
2 Months
Diphtheria, tetanus, poliomyelitis, pertussis, Haemophilus influenzae b: 1st injection.
Hepatitis B: 1st injection.
Pneumococcal (Pn7): 1st injection.
3 Months
Diphtheria, tetanus, poliomyelitis, pertussis, Haemophilus influenzae b: 2nd injection.
Pneumococcal (Pn7): injection extra, only for children with a pathology exposing them to risk high infection (prematurity, sickle cell disease, HIV, immune deficiencies, congenital heart disease, infection…).
4 Months
Diphtheria, tetanus, poliomyelitis, pertussis, Haemophilus influenzae b: 3rd injection.
Hepatitis B: 2nd injection.
Pneumococcal (Pn7): 2nd injection. (3rd injection for children exposed to a high risk of infection).
9 Months
Measles, mumps, rubella (MMR): 1st dose, only for infants allowed in community. (In this case, the second dose is recommended between 12 and 15 months).
12 Months
Measles, mumps, rubella (MMR): 1st dose. (The 2nd dose at least 1 month after the first and, if possible before the age of 24 months).
Pneumococcal (Pn7): 3rd injection. (4th injection for children exposed to a high risk of infection).
Between 12 and 15 months
Measles, mumps, rubella: 2nd dose for infants who received a first dose at 9 months.
Between 13 and 24 months
Measles, mumps, rubella (MMR): 2nd dose.
Between 16 and 18 months
Diphtheria, tetanus, poliomyelitis, pertussis, Haemophilus influenzae b: 4th injection (which corresponds to the 1st reminder).
Hepatitis B: 3rd injection.
At 6 years
Diphtheria, tetanus, poliomyelitis: callback.
Between 11 and 13 years
Diphtheria, tetanus, polio and pertussis: callback.
Hepatitis B: 3 injections, if they have not practiced during childhood. The 2 first 1 month apart, 3rd, 5 to 12 months after the second injection.
At 14 years old
Human papillomavirus (HPV).
Between 15 and 23 years old
Human papillomavirus (HPV): catch-up if the vaccine has not administered at age 14, just for the girls or young women who have not yet had intercourse or when vaccination is located in the year following the beginning of their sexual life.


Between 16 and 18 years and then every 10 years
Diphtheria, tetanus, poliomyelitis: callback.
Pertussis: the youth did not had booster at the age of 11 to 13 years.
From 18 years
Diphtheria, tetanus, polio: a dose to renew every 10 years.
Rubella for unvaccinated of childbearing age women.
Pertussis: a dose for adults likely to become parents and having not been vaccinated for 10 years.
Between 26 and 28 years old
Pertussis: a dose for adults who have not been vaccinated for 10 years (at a reminder decennial diphtheria, tetanus, poliomyelitis).
After 65 years
Influenza: every year.
